Sisters of Blood and Spirit (The Sisters of Blood and Spirit , #1)by Kady Cross

Synopsis
Wren Noble is dead—she was born that way. Vibrant, unlike other dead things, she craves those rare moments when her twin sister allows her to step inside her body and experience the world of the living.

Lark Noble is alive but often feels she belongs in the muted Shadow Lands—the realm of the dead. Known as the crazy girl who talks to her dead sister, she doesn’t exactly fit in with the living, though a recent suicide attempt and time in a psych ward have proved to her she’s not ready to join her sister in the afterlife.

Now the guy who saved Lark’s life needs her to repay the favor. He and his friends have been marked for death by the malevolent spirit of a vicious and long-dead serial killer, and the twins—who should know better than to mess with the dead—may be their only hope of staying alive.

Review

Ever felt like you don't fit in. That everyone thinks your crazy.
Well that is the case for Lark. Except  she isn't crazy.
Lark is like any other teenager struggling to find her place in the world. But unlike everyone  else she isn't doing it alone, she has her twin sister Wren by her side.

Lark and Wren are identical twins, minus two small things their hair colour and that Wren is dead.
Wren was a stillborn, meaning she was dead at birth. However she has been  growing up right alongside Lark. But no one else can see her  expect Lark.

The plot of the book begins simple. Lark has been sent back to live with her grandmother after her parents decide that they can nolong deal with her. On returning  she is approached by  a group of people who have been marked and attached by ghost, and now they need Lark and Wren's help.

But to help there new friends Lark and Wren  will have to confront their deepest fears and the  past.

This book was fast-paced, taking place literally within a week. Though the book was fast past you didn't feel like the book was missing anything from the story.

Lark is a very relatable in the scenes  that she has faced a lot of ridicule and bullying. She doesn't trust others easily, as she's been hurt time and time again, and because of that, her character is quiet defensive.

Wren, in contrast, is optimistic through she is very protective of Lark.  She's more open to the experiences of  the living. (making friends, falling in love.)

This book does contain a bit of romance, but it doesnt control or overwelm the story.

I loved the ending. It left you in a bit of suspense with the introduction of two new characters, but it also ended in away that you are not having to wait for the next book to find out what happens.

Looking for something a little spooky.then this is for you.
